Would Mexico pay for drug rehab?

Regarding "Thomas: No rehab for young migrant" (Valley & State, Wednesday):

Thank you, Maricopa County Attorney Andrew Thomas, for caring about my tax dollars.

This situation is exactly why we, the American taxpayers, are fed up. That a juvenile delinquent is here illegally from Mexico, stealing the advantage of our educational system, should be bad enough. But that some people think he is entitled to drug treatment on our dime is the epitome of arrogance!

How many citizens could benefit from drug or alcohol treatment, but cannot afford it? If they were going to Mexico illegally, would the Mexican government pay for such treatment?

The Mexican government apparently is more intelligent than we are. They actually deport illegals, not support and coddle them.

What a concept! - Vikki Pickett, Glendale
